Sondhus, LLC is an architectural acoustics firm based in New Milford, CT.

We design and build top-level recording studios around the world. After thirteen years in business, we are experiencing strong growth and seek to add exceptional talent to our highly motivated and professional team. We are seeking applicants for a Operations Manager at our shop located in New Milford, CT with an immediate start.

Organization and demonstrated experience with managing systems and personnel is key for this position. The shop is responsible for all acoustic millwork, acoustic treatment and technical furniture and storage systems for our custom builds. In addition to custom work, we are also developing a line of products for the multimedia marketplace.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and responsibilities:

ROLES

  • Set up and maintain software-based systems for the following aspects of production work:

  • Inventory management - track current inventory of all parts and tooling needed for production work.

  • Inventory projections - track inventory use and order supplies through vendors to replenish stock.

  • Conduct weekly meetings to review production schedules with all personnel.

  • Report all current and upcoming project scheduling and shop/staff issues to the owner.

  • Manage shop personnel according to production schedule.

  • Manage maintenance and related tasks and special projects in the shop related to maintaining a safe and organized environment.

SKILLS

  • Excellent working knowledge of software such as Microsoft Excel, Dropbox, web - based email services and various CAD programs

  • Proficient in material calculations from shop drawings for ordering supplies

  • Highly organized with consistent performance in maintaining schedules, systems and revolving tasks.

  • Able to manage in a positive manner within a leadership role.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum five years of experience in a production environment such as a cabinet shop, woodworking/millwork shop or a similar fabrication facility.

  • Minimum three years of experience in the role of Production Manager
