John is able to produce larger than life mixes in his small mix suite after careful design and deployment of acoustical treatments. The walls and the ceiling are treated with low frequency absorption in the form of tuned membranes - all of which were customized in the space for maximum effect. Varying depths of velocity based porous absorption was placed in key locations of the room for further treatment of midrange and high frequencies, the result being a linear response suitable for critical listening and mixing. The custom racks with refined angular legs and white fabric walls make for an open airy feel. The custom wood diffusers that run from floor to ceiling add a dynamic accent to the rear wall.

In 2020, we retrofitted the studio with nine additional monitors to accommodate John’s growing demand for Dolby Atmos mixes.
